Extension Chord and Components?
Hello all,
I’m looking to run about 150 feet of extension cable through my backyard for my birthday party. I have all the cable but, one of the cables is missing the 3rd prong (I think they call that the ground??.) Will this affect the performance of the components and the other cables? As of now, it is 4 extension chords plugged into one brick thing… I want to have a projector, Xbox 360, stereo speakers and an iPod dock on this one power brick. Given my situation, will this be safe for 3-4 hours of use?
That will be fine for a few hours. I would never do something like that inside my house of for components with a high draw for fear of a fire. But outside you’ll be fine. Or for a couple of bucks, you could cut the end off of that cord and put on a new one! It would take about 5 minutes, and it is fairly idiot proof.
